Juan Alfonso Cintron, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on July 24, 2025, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, on June 13, 1949, Juan dedicated his life to hard work and the values of family and friendship.
Juan was lovingly referred to by many as "Fonsito". As a loyal and dedicated worker, Juan tirelessly during his many years in the manufacturing industry, where he spent countless hours working the third shift in maintenance. His resilience and determination were evident in all that he did, leaving behind a legacy of hard work that inspired those around him.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Juan possessed a warm, thoughtful nature that endeared him to many in his community. He truly enjoyed sitting on his porch, spending quality time with his neighbors and forging lasting relationships. Fonsito was known to be a wise soul, often sharing invaluable life lessons, and his dedication to his family shined brightly through his actions and words. The most memorable of these actions were the loving and delicious meals he prepared for his family.
Family was the cornerstone of Juan's life. He is survived by his cherished wife, Ida Cintron, and their loving children, Arelis (Daniel) Dias, Jessica Nieves (David Myers), and Analia M'tume (Tariq). His warmth and devotion extended to his grandchildren: Analis, Ariana, Anajai, Elijah, Mateus, Isabella, Lucia, and Catarina, who brought boundless joy to his heart. As a great-grandfather, Alena, Aliyah, and Azrael were fortunate to share precious moments with him, creating memories to be treasured for generations to come.
Further, Juan leaves behind a beloved sister, Maritza Cintron Hernandez, along with a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends who will carry his memory forever in their hearts. His courage was exemplified during his battle with lung cancer, a testament to his enduring spirit.
Juan Alfonso Cintron will be honored and remembered during a memorial service on Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT.
Though Juan has departed from this physical realm, his spirit and legacy will continue to shine bright within the lives he touched. He will be greatly missed, and his memory will live on in the stories shared and the love that bound him to his family and friends.
