Lourdes Lumary David, 57, passed away on November 2, 2025, at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Born on July 22, 1968, she was the cherished daughter of the late Willie Josue David Alvarado and Virgenmina Figueroa and blessed to have a loving stepfather Sigfredo Galarza. Lourdes was also engaged to Terrell Taylor, with whom she shared a deep and meaningful bond.
Lourdes was the devoted mother of Adam David, Lourdes Ortiz, and Liliana Lee Ortiz. Her heart grew even fuller with the arrival of her beloved grandchildren: Amourlise L. Morales, Eli J. David, Alejandro L. David, Reina S. David, Micah A. David, and Luna E. David.
She was the loving sister of Julio Enrique Diaz, Nancy David, Miriam David, and Willie David, and was preceded in death by her brother, Jamie David.
Known as the life of the party, Lourdes carried joy everywhere she went. She was rarely seen without a smile—bright, contagious, and genuine. She found good in every situation and every person. She loved singing in the choir as a child, cooked with soul and love, loved painting with her grand-daughter, and enjoyed doing puzzles in her free time. She was a fighter—resilient in her health challenges and unwavering when it came to protecting and loving her family.
She was a wonderful grandmother, mom, aunt and friend—someone whose warmth and presence made others feel at home. Her laughter, her voice, and her light will be deeply missed.
Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, Connecticut.
