Family and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06608. His service is scheduled for Monday, June 15, 2020 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. His interment will follow at Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Please explore his Memorial Page, where you may share your memories, prayers and so much more found exclusively at www.luzdepaz.com Please be advised that during the current phase of the COVID 19 Pandemic as our State once again moves on to open and return back to normal the current guidelines have determined that during the viewing and visitation of Mr. Lanzo, only 49 persons or less would be permitted inside the funeral home at one given time. Therefore the back door of the funeral home will be exclusively utilized as the entrance and exit as a form of crowd control and be able to confirm and refrain from permitting to go over such number inside the facility at one given time. Please know that although we always welcome visitors during services, please consider these restrictions that have been implemented to protect the health and wellbeing of all parties present including funeral home staff alike. IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL: Unfortunately, due to the ongoing changes in laws, regulations and rules created, implemented and enforced during the Pandemic, it is imperative to know that we do not control and are not always informed of the rules and regulations that cemeteries and/or churches have created, and intend to implement during the time we may be in their facility and /or on their grounds. Laws which are created by the state of Connecticut or any Governments would not be part of this statement nor should be considered as when we are speaking about due to those such laws are expected to be applicable to all citizens and those are not questionable or optional. If any cemetery or a church has responded to the requests made by our firm requesting the most current implemented rules they are requiring their customers to abide by, we will glad to share but be advised, we may not have current information of the cemetery and /or restrictions which should not only be consistent to the laws of the State of Connecticut but also created evidently for the protection of their staff, but clearly considering and taking into consideration the emotional, mental and having empathetic thoughts to the situation each family is encountering at times when such rules, Requirements and or regulations are created. The funeral home, the director, nor the staff, do not compose part of any transaction (s) and would be considered a third party in such relationship, but you should know as Plot owners, and Parishioners that there should always be an open dialogue and communication especially with the Priest or clergy whom will be engaging in performing the funeral rites by the church, in the church and at the cemetery alike. As plot owners there are a level of rights which should not ever be infringed upon when making such regulations or rules which may be considered a violation and even unethical standards. If we find any particular cemetery requirement or restrictions are beyond the scope and that which we feel is appropriate, fair and compassionate and empathetic as it should be especially during these times We also advise that any such regulations of each cemetery and /or church, must be informed to the family Directly by the Cemetery and /or church, and although IF we have any information in hand we will be glad to share it. We will not ENFORCE any part or whole of any rules that are not LAWS of the State of CT or regulations implemented by the Health Department of the State of Connecticut, as we ( Funeral Home Directors, Staff) are not the manufacturers of such rules and regulations, nor enforcers and even less when we consider they are outside the scope of what is just and acceptable to any family we serve. Due to the ever changing restrictions, regulations and all phases of the Covid 19, and we have found some of the cemeteries are not educated as to the proper levels of what is permitted under the law outside when it comes to Public, and some have tried to implement and enforce rules that are considered in our opinion extreme and at times way beyond what is compassionate, empathetic and considerate to anyone but the organization. Under no circumstance was anything the family is going through even a consideration when making any such rules and yes we will always stand by our families and educate you accordingly as to the options you have and assist you to find the necessary resources to resolve any issues.
