Luz Martinez

Luz Martinez, 58, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on July 19, 2023, in her Bridgeport residence.  She was born in Bridgeport to the late Pedro Martinez and Isabel Santiago (her husband Julio Acevedo).  

Luz was a very loving person who enjoyed coordinating family gatherings and cooking delicious meals so that everyone could enjoy.  She graciously opened her doors to all making everyone feel welcomed to come in for a chat and was always willing to help those in need.  In her spare time, she listened to music, went shopping, liked cooking as well as eating and cleaning.  

Aside from her mother, Luz leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children Ramon, Gabriel, Eva, Johanna, Latisha, Bianca and Damaris, 20 precious grandchildren, her dear siblings Delia, Maria and Sylvia and a host of friends and relatives that will miss her dearly.  

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
