Maria Estel Hostos

Maria Estel Hostos, 66, returned to the loving arms of her Lord on March 26, 2024. She was born in Bridgeport, CT to Pedro Hostos and Juanita Torres.
Maria was known for her enthusiasm for life and a spirit that brought laughter to everyone she came in contact with. A very loving soul who gave generously of herself to others. Her caring heart was evident in the tender care that she provided to her patients and dedication to those who knew her. She will be missed as the life of the party and forever engraved in the hearts of those that loved her.
Maria leaves to honor her memory her loving children Melinda Rivera, Christopher Gonzalez, and her three grandsons, William J. Comacho, Brandon J. Comacho, and Eric Khan. In addition, she leaves behind her surviving siblings Miriam Hostos, Pedro Hostos, Wilfredo Hostos. Including her Step-children Julie Gonzalez, Donna Gonzalez, Arlene Gonzalez, George Gonzalez, Madeline Alvarez and Jazmarie Dejesus. Along with her beloved nieces, nephews, and friends that will miss her dearly.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. A Christian mass to follow at 1:30 pm at Blessed Sacrament Church, 275 Union Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. The family will host a “Celebration of Life” at 557 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia following services. All are welcome to attend.
