Migdalia Rodriguez, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on December 10, 2025, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the age of 71. Born on July 27, 1954, in Naranjito, Puerto Rico, Migdalia's journey was filled with love, creativity, and an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, which guided her throughout her life.

Migdalia dedicated a significant part of her life to caring for others. In the 1980s, she worked at the Columbus School in Bridgeport, where she joyfully fed students, nurturing their bodies and spirits. Following this, she made her mark in the manufacturing industry, contributing her skills at Transcience and later at Hoffman Engineering, both located in Stamford. Her nurturing personality shone brightly in every role she embraced.

A parishioner of Ministerios Bethania church, Migdalia’s deep-rooted faith played an integral role in her life. She cherished the moments spent with her family, instilling values of love and kindness that will undoubtedly live on through them.

Migdalia found joy in life’s simple and beautiful pleasures: music and dancing, cooking, traveling, shopping, creating jewelry, tending to her plants, and, above all, being surrounded by the people she loved. Gatherings filled with laughter, music, and dancing were where she truly came alive. With a vibrant personality that was joyful, energetic, feisty, and thoughtful, she had a rare gift for making others feel seen, welcomed, and deeply cared for. Her generous heart was evident in the countless ways she helped those in need, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished.

Migdalia’s greatest legacy lives on through her family, whom she adored profoundly. She is survived by her beloved children: Efrain Negron, Angel Negron (Addie), Glendaly Padilla, and Yaritza Padilla (Armando). She was a proud grandmother to Tatiana, Efrain, Monica, Samantha, Mya, Jazmin, Armando Jr., Efrain Jr., and Kylie, and a devoted great-grandmother to Avery and Xolani, whom she adored.

Migdalia will be deeply missed by her siblings: Angel, Milagros, Gladys, Margarita, and Ana Iris, as well as her many beloved nieces, nephews, and extended family, all of whom will forever cherish the warm memories she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan B. Rodriguez and Obdulia Rodriguez, as well as siblings Jacinto, Rafael, Raul, Gil Antonio, Luz, and Haydee, whose absence she felt throughout her life.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Migdalia's life on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz in Bridgeport. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Norwalk at 1:45 p.m.
