Natalie Velez

Natalie Velez, born on February 26, 1985, in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, tragically returned to the loving arms of the Lord on September 23, 2026, in New Haven, Connecticut.

Natalie lived an adventurous life full of love and excitement.  Her free spirit brought her to travels in tropical destinations where she often engaged in thrill seeking activities.  Her louder than life personality drew in people around her often making her the life of the party.  She was an extremely social and nurturing person who often spent time with her new bike and riding crew; as well as her closest friends, Pichi, Ieesha, and Ivette.  Natalie's greatest accomplishment in life was being the mother of her beautiful children; the time she spent with them was her favorite pastime.

Natalie’s life was deeply rooted in the love of her family, and her memory will be carried forward by those who knew her best. She stood by her children, Nathaniel, Ginaliz, Kayllie, and Hayllie Dapp, who were at the center of her life and will always hold a cherished place in her story. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister, Zuleide Montes, and Zuleide’s spouse, Ariel. Natalie leaves behind her father, Jaime Velez, and her mother, Mayra Gonzalez, along with all who shared in the bond of family and friendship with her.

Those who mourn Natalie also celebrate the lasting connections she created and the love she gave so freely. Her presence in the lives of her children, her parents, and her sister and extended family will remain a meaningful and enduring part of their hearts.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Luz De Paz, 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, Connecticut 06608.

Natalie will be remembered with love, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family.
