Arokia Nathan Anthony, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and chef, passed away on April 15, 2024, at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. He was born on September 9, 1939. Nathan was a dedicated chef for many years, known for his punctuality, humor, and jovial spirit. He found immense joy in his role as a grandfather, cherishing every moment spent with his nine grandchildren. His love for them was evident in every smile and embrace shared. Nathan's devotion to his wife was unwavering; she was his life and he was her hero. Together, they built a bond that stood the test of time.
His hobbies included indulging in music, particularly the songs of singer Mohammad Rafi, he was well known as Burma Rafi, and showcasing his culinary skills in the kitchen. Nathan had a knack for entertaining, often regaling his family with his comedic charm and jovial nature.
He affectionately referred to his sons as tigers, his daughters as parrots, and himself as the lion, the "King of Cowboys," drawing inspiration from Clint Eastwood and John Wayne. Nathan is survived by his loving wife, Cicelia Nathan, and his children: Justina Peter, Eden Nathan Anthony, Nichols Nathan Anthony, and Suzyna Nathan and his nine grandchildren. He is also remembered fondly by his late father, A. Anthony, and his late mother, P. Loordumary. In remembrance of Nathan, let us carry forward his zest for life, his love for family, and his passion for laughter. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew him.
Services for the late Mr. Arokia Anthony Nathan will be as follows, Friday, May 3, 2024, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Luz de Paz Funeral Home. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church, on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM - 391 Ogden St, Bridgeport, CT 06608.
