With profound sadness and in loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Norma Delfina Ortega Torres, who departed this life on July 25, 2026, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Born on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1964, in Honduras, Norma’s life was a living tribute to warmth, devotion, and the enduring power of love.

Norma was a cherished daughter to her late mother Olga Santos, her beloved parents Marcia Jordan and Orlando Torres. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers. From her earliest days in Honduras, she embodied generosity and an unwavering commitment to family—a foundation she carried faithfully throughout her years.

She is deeply mourned by her family, with whom she built a partnership steeped resilience. Their journey together was a testament to shared dreams, hard-won triumphs, and unwavering support. Norma’s legacy of caring devotion lives on in her beloved children Moises E. Ortega and Karina J. Ortega Torres, whose life she filled with encouragement, Love, wisdom, strength and boundless affection.

Norma was a grandmother whose tenderness was rivaled only by her enthusiasm for the joys brought by each of her grandchildren: Damian, Mia, Lia, Matthew, Johan, and Savannah. With patience and delight, she wove threads of guidance and inspiration into their lives, leaving a legacy marked by her gentle strength and nurturing embrace. Norma’s influence will forever illuminate their paths.

To all who knew Norma, she was a steadfast presence—her laughter, her understanding, and her acts of service are memories that will be cherished by friends and family alike. She faithfully worshipped and served the Lord as an active member of Principe de Paz church for over 30 years.  She humbly served her community by visiting the sick in the hospital and praying with them.  Her family was priority, lovingly preparing delicious dishes for all.

Family, friends, and all who were touched by Norma’s radiant spirit are invited to gather for a Viewing on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, Connecticut. Following the viewing, a Burial service will be held at Riverside Cemetery, 81 Riverside Avenue, Norwalk, Connecticut, beginning at 1:30 PM.

Norma Delfina Ortega Torres lived a life rich in love and meaning. As we mourn her loss, we also give thanks for the years we were blessed by her kindness and compassion. Her legacy endures through those she cherished, the lessons she imparted, and the indelible mark she leaves on our hearts.
