Olga Margarita DeJesus

Olga M. DeJesus, age 78, of Stratford passed into the presence of the Lord on June 23, 2022, in Bridgeport Hospital.  Olga was born in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico where she met and married her beloved husband of 53 years  Jose Cortez Lopez.  Soon after, she relocated to the mainland United States and has resided here since.   She was a woman full of energy who enjoyed being out whether it be for shopping, traveling, eating, or even giving some TLC to her nails and hair. She always made it a point to look her best anywhere she went.  She loved her independence and never wanted to be a bother to anyone in anything she did.  Her two pups Snoopy and Thor were her babies and she loved having them by her side each day.  She loved spending time with her family whom she all loved unconditionally. Love is the one ingredient that she demonstrated to all, not only by words but more importantly her actions. Her family and friends will forever cherish the blessing of having her in their lives. 

Along with her husband Jose, Olga is survived by her children, Carmen Albaladejo, Maria Vega (Alex), Angel Vega (Karen), Ruben DeJesus, Evelyn Cortes (Carmelo Gonzalez), Madeline Cortes (Sherry), Jose Cortes (Yolanda Montero), and Jesenia DeJesus.  Her siblings, Migdalia Santaigo, Maria Teres Morales, Carmen V. Morales, Armando DeJesus, Dalmacio Morales, & Maria Morales.  19 Grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and so many other friends, and relatives who will so dearly miss her.  

Friends are invited to attend calling hours to be held at the Funeraria Luz de Paz (Peaceful Light Funeral Home), 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, from 5:30 P.M. Until 8:00 P.M.

Final disposition will take place in Adjuntas, Puerto Rico.
