Osvaldo "Tito" Perez Jr., a beloved family man, talented craftsman, and cherished friend, passed away on December 5, 2025, in a hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Born on November 19, 1952, in the Bronx, New York, Tito's life was marked by joy, laughter, and a deep-seated commitment to those he loved.
Tito was a skilled machinist, with a commendable career at General Electric. He also lent his expertise to Maaco and VNS, but many fondly remember him for his dedicated service at Buy Rite Supermarket on the East Side of Bridgeport. His work was more than just a job; it was a testament to his loyalty and dedication, qualities that endeared him to both colleagues and customers alike.
In addition to his professional life, Tito was a storyteller at heart. He brought joy to those around him through his captivating tales, weaving stories that left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to listen. Family oriented, he created a nurturing environment filled with warmth and love. His personality radiated kindness, and he was fiercely loyal to those who held a special place in his heart.
Tito possessed a myriad of hobbies that enriched his life. He was an avid fisherman, finding peace and joy by the water, and enjoyed competitive domino games that brought out his spirited nature. In his heart he was a talented guitarist who mastered the same 5 chords of "Stand by me" he filled the lives of his family and friends with music, fostering connections through melody. An ardent fan of the New York Giants and Yankees, Tito wore his team colors proudly and shared countless moments cheering for his beloved teams. He also found excitement in outings to the casino, where he reveled in the thrill of the game.
Tito's legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his daughter, Ada Perez Garcia, and her husband, Gerber; his grandson, James Gilliard; and his siblings, Elaine, Guillermina, Evelyn, Alice, and David and many nephews and nieces. He joins his late parents, Osvaldo Perez Sr. and Alicia Medina, and siblings Eddie and Mildred in peace.
As family and friends gather to honor Tito's memory, they will reflect on the incredible impact he had on their lives. Viewing services will be held on December 9, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and again on December 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT. A burial service will follow at Lakeview Cemetery at 11:30 AM that same day.
Tito's life may have been brief, but the love he shared and the memories he created will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew him. His spirit will continue to inspire, and his stories will live on in the laughter of his family, a testament to a life well lived.
