Pablito Cotto

October 2, 1980 — November 9, 2023

Bridgeport

Pablito Cotto, beloved son, devoted husband, and doting father, passed away on November 9, 2023, at St. Vincents Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. He was born on October 2, 1980, in New Haven, CT.

Pablito found solace and freedom when fishing or behind the wheel during his late-night drives blasting music with windows down. The rhythm of the music mirrored the beat of his heart as he embraced each journey. He would often be found "parking lot pimping" as he would call it to have a drink and enjoy late night talks.

Music played an integral role in Pablito's life. He cherished the lively Parrandas and Guirro tunes he played with passion. Freestyle music resonated within him and brought out his innermost emotions. Pablito's connection to music was undeniable no matter the genre; it was an art form that spoke directly to his soul.

Pablito was also known for his love of sports whether cheering for his favorite football team the New England Patriots or during baseball season the New York Yankees.

Pablito leaves behind a sorrowful void in the lives of those who loved him dearly. He is survived by his mother, Maria Vega, his father, Rosario Cotto, his loving wife, Dalila Meléndez, his two sons, Pablito Cotto Jr and Aziél Pablito Cotto, his siblings, Glenda Perez-Torres, Jahaira Cotto, Rosario Cotto and Magaly Cotto, mourn his loss alongside Mia Martinez (stepdaughter) and Alina L. Cotto (grandchild). Their hearts ache with the knowledge that they will no longer feel his warm embrace or witness his contagious smile.

A viewing to celebrate Pablito's life will be held on Friday November 17, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608.

Pablito Cotto will forever remain in our hearts as a protector, humble, loyal, kind-hearted soul who brightened and left a mark in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will continue to inspire us to find joy in the simplest moments and appreciate the beauty of life's unexpected journeys. May he rest in eternal peace.
