In Loving Memory of
Pablo Lopez Valladares
June 4, 1928 – June 30, 2025
With heartfelt sorrow, we announce the passing of Pablo Lopez Valladares, who departed this life on June 30, 2025, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the age of 97. Born on June 4, 1928, in Peru, Pablo was the beloved son of the late Nemesio Lopez and the late Juana Valladares.
A gifted musician, singer, and teacher, Pablo's life was a beautiful composition of talent, dedication, and deep love for his craft. Music flowed through every part of his being—he played the guitar with grace and passion, listened to melodies daily, and inspired countless others with his talent and wisdom. Beyond his musical accomplishments, Pablo also worked at the Lima Cement Company, a place he spoke of with great fondness and pride.
Pablo was meticulous in his appearance, always well-dressed and composed. His tender heart, genuine kindness, and warm spirit left lasting impressions on everyone he met. Above all, he loved his family deeply and found his greatest joy in their presence. He shared a lifelong bond with his devoted wife, Mercedes Gamarra de Lopez, who stood faithfully by his side until his final breath.
He leaves behind his cherished children: Juana M. Lopez Gamarra, Paola Lopez, and Paolo Lopez Gamarra; and his loving sister, Rosita Lopez.
Pablo’s legacy of music, grace, and love will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
