Ramona Ortiz, aka Ramona Liciaga Morales, 77, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on November 25, 2023, at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport, CT. Ramona was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico to the late Edelmiro Liciaga and the late Graciana Morales. In search of better opportunities, in 1969, she moved to New York and eventually settled down in Connecticut. She is the beloved widow of Eduardo Ortiz.
Ramona began each day with a robust cup of coffee along with a sweet bite to nibble on which provided her the energy to tend to her numerous tasks such as gardening, watching her beloved "novelas and noticias", shopping and tending to her extensive collection of porcelain dolls as well as her cat Nena. Her greatest past time was spending time with her grandchildren and preparing delicious traditional Puerto Rican delicacies for them especially "pasteles" and fried foods.
Ramona leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Luz Rodriguez, Jose Roman (Jacqueline), Edward Connolly, Midred Roman Echevarria, Luz Nieves Novak (Robert), Efraim Nieves, Carmen Nieves, Veronica Pagan, 21 precious grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives that will miss her dearly.
