Raul Eduardo Quiroga Barahona, age 70, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2026 in Bridgeport, CT

Born on September 5, 1955, in Lima, Peru, Raul was the beloved son of the late Juan Quiroga and the late Camila Barahona. He later made his home in Connecticut, where he built a life centered on family, education, and helping others.

Raul earned a Master's Degree and dedicated his professional life to education as a school teacher. He was known for his patience, kindness, and unwavering willingness to help those around him. Throughout his life, he encouraged others to pursue their goals, supported friends and loved ones through difficult times, and generously shared his wisdom and compassion. His caring spirit and dedication to others left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Above all else, Raul loved his family. He cherished time spent with his children and grandchildren and took great pride in their accomplishments. His gentle nature, thoughtful guidance, and loving heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Raul is survived by his beloved wife, Flor de Maria Fernandez; his children, Claudia Stefania Quiroga, Diana Camila Quiroga, and Raul A. Quiroga; his grandchildren, Taliyah Ortiz Quiroga and Jayce Ortiz Quiroga; and his siblings, Leopoldo Quiroga, Alberto Quiroga, Alfredo Quiroga, Luz Avila, Angela Figueroa, Jose Quiroga, Pedro Quiroga, and Marcela Quiroga, along with many extended family members and friends who mourn his passing and celebrate the blessing of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Quiroga and Camila Barahona, his brothers Humberto and Carlos Quiroga, and his grandson, Anthony Edward Alamo.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, at 10:00 AM at Funeraria Luz de Paz followed by interment int the Lawncroft Cemetery, in Fairfield, CT
