Robert C. Davis Sr., a cherished father and brother, departed from this world on August 31, 2025, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, at the age of 83. Born on December 3, 1941, in Norwalk, Connecticut, Robert was known for his strong will and private demeanor, traits that endeared him to those fortunate enough to know him.
A proud veteran, Robert served his country valiantly in the Airforce, where he spent four years stationed in the Philippines. His dedication to service and his meticulous attention to detail carried through to his civilian career as a skilled aircraft specialist at Sikorsky, where he dedicated 18 years of his life contributing to the aviation industry.
Robert's early years were marked by athletic promise; he was a star basketball player in high school with dreams of going professional. However, a serious leg injury curtailed those aspirations. Despite this setback, he remained an avid sports enthusiast, also excelling as a lettered track athlete.
Beyond his professional and athletic endeavors, Robert was a talented auto mechanic, showing great artistry in his craft. Known for enjoying the thrill of taking calculated risks, he found joy in his passion for playing the lottery—a reflection of his characteristic ability to beat the odds.
A father to Robert C. Davis Jr., his legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Malik, Masiah, Makil, and Eveanna. He also leaves behind his sister, Eugenia Davis. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy Burke and David Cain Davis, who will always be remembered for the love and care she bestowed upon him.
To honor his life and contributions, a viewing will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Funeraria Luz De Paz, located at 426 E. Washington Ave., Bridgeport, CT 06608.
