Rosa Alvarez

Rosa Alvarez, age 79, of Bridgeport has passed away on February 23, 2022, in her home while surrounded by her loving family. Rosa was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico to the late Eliseo Santiago and the late Teresa Olmeda but had relocated to the United States mainland many years ago and has resided here since.  Rosa was a very gracious woman who loved her family unconditionally with all her heart.  She enjoyed the simple things in life but more than anything being with those she loved.

Rosa leaves to cherish the memories she leaves behind, her children Raquel Alvarez and her husband William Marrero, Antonio Alvarez, Haydee Alvarez, Norberto Alvarez, Mayra Alvarez, and her spouse Jose Carlos Morales, and Rafael Alvarez.  10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.  

Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.

Funeral Services have been scheduled for Friday, March 4, 2022, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home followed by interment in the Lakeview Cemetery.
