Rosa M. Silva

With profound sadness, yet with hearts full of gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we announce the passing of Rosa M. Silva, who entered eternal rest on June 23, 2026, at the age of 63, surrounded by the love of her family at her residence in Stratford, Connecticut.

Born on August 29,1962, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Rosa was the beloved daughter of the late Jose Martinez and the late Josefina Martinez. She later made her home in Connecticut, where she built a life centered on family, faith, hard work, and caring for those she loved.

Rosa was a woman of many interests and talents. Throughout her life she worked as a hairdresser, medical assistant and was known for her meticulous nature, especially when it came to keeping things clean and organized. Most recently, before her retirement, she dedicated many years at the restaurant El Morivivi, Bridgeport, CT. as owner with her husband Efrain Silva. She cherished the opportunity to travel whenever she could. Though life did not always allow her to explore as much as she had hoped, she often spoke of her wish of visiting Spain, Brazil, Portugal, and many other beautiful places around the world. Her adventurous spirit and curiosity about different cultures reflected her appreciation for life's many wonders. She loved arts and crafts, found joy in creative projects, and treasured the simple pleasures of life. Above all, Rosa will be remembered as a nurturing, faithful, loving woman whose kindness and devotion left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Family was the center of Rosa’s world. She was a devoted mother to Jacqueline Abrams, Jeannette Alicea (Gilberto), Jose Silva (Marta Rodriguez), and Diana Silva. Nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with her children and grandchildren, Olivia Alicea, Hadassah Doucoure, Ariela Doucoure,  Monty Bruno Sen, and Leonardo Alicea, each of whom brought immeasurable happiness to her life.

Rosa's unwaivering faith guided her throughout her life, not only admired by others, but providing strength during both joyful and difficult times.

Though her family mourns her passing, they find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind and in the love that will continue to unite them. Her gentle spirit, warm heart, and unwavering dedication to her family will forever remain a part of those she loved.

Rosa is now reunited with loved ones who preceded her in death and rests peacefully in the loving embrace of the Lord.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz.

A Funeral Service will take place at approximately 12:00 PM followed by interment at Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT.

Rosa's memory will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, relatives, friends, and all who were blessed to know her. Her love was a gift, her life an example, and her memory a treasure that will never fade.
