It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rosemary Serrano, who left this world on August 23, 2026, at the age of 67. Rosemary was born on March 7, 1959, and spent her life spreading joy and love to everyone around her.
Known for her warmth, Rosemary was a remarkable and outstanding cook, famously celebrated for her delicious Arroz con Pollo, which brought family and friends together for countless cherished meals. Her culinary talents were only surpassed by her vibrant social spirit; she had an unparalleled ability to make anyone feel welcome and appreciated. Although she enjoyed cooking and was an outstanding cook she found great comfort in an icy cold Orange Fanta with a chilidog from Duchess.
Rosemary took immense joy in her role the grandmother and great grandmother of Tiffany, Christian, Desiree, Destiny, Mia, Anitraya, Brianna and Sophia. Her great-grandchildren Jazmarie, Seth and Aribella were the light of her life. She adored spending time with them, creating beautiful memories that they will carry in their hearts forever.
She is survived by her beloved daughters Noemi Nieves and Tanya Serrano, as well as her beloved mother Nilda Perez and siblings Jose A. Serrano, Nancy Carrion, and Samuel Carrion who will carry on her legacy of love and warmth. She was predeceased by her father Jose A. Serrano, as well as her brother Jose V. Carrion.
Funeral services to honor Rosemary's memory will be held on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Interment will follow immediately after at Lawncroft Cemetery, 1740 Black Rock Turnpike, Fairfield, CT. Friends and family are invited to gather and pay tribute to a remarkable woman whose impact on their lives will never be forgotten.
