Roxana Spears

Roxana Spears, 79, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, in her home, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 16, 1946, in Limón, Costa Rica, Roxana relocated to the United States in the1960's, where she built a beautiful life rooted in faith, kindness, and family.

Roxana devoted her career as a CNA at Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility, where she worked for many years until her retirement in 2005. She was known for her nurturing spirit, her willingness to give even when she was in need herself, and her faith, which she carried closely in her heart. She encouraged and uplifted others with words and deeds, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She cherished time at home, especially gardening, and enjoyed watching exciting basketball games. She loved to cook and try new recipes. Above all, Roxana found her greatest joy in her family. Her daughter, Adriana Nicole Spears, was the center of her world, and she poured her love into every moment shared together.

Roxana is survived by her beloved daughter, Adriana Nicole Spears; her siblings, Norma Manso, Shirley Lazarus, Leroy Stewart, Elena Stewart, Marlon Stewart, Selfin Lee, Zaida Stewart, Prudencia Chrisholm, and Guillermo Stewart; as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608.

Roxana will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith, a true blessing to all whose lives she touched.
