With profound sadness, we share the passing of Ruth Anilda Cintron, on September 16, 2025. She was born on December 24, 1941, in Salinas, Puerto Rico, to the late Emilia (Milla) Garcia DeJesus and Pablo Otero. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Juan (Cuco), her sister Carmen and her faithful terrier, Panchito, who was at her side for 16 years.
Ruth was a devoted mother to her three children: Ruth, Juan (Nancy) and Michael (Dawn). She took great pride in her four treasured granddaughters: Olivia, Amanda, Michelle and Elaina, and lovingly cared for her seven nieces and nephews. Ruth is also fondly remembered by her stepbrothers and sisters: Pablo, Iris, Janet, David and Julio.
Renowned for her warmth and generosity, Ruth brought joy to family and friends with her exceptional cooking, especially her renowned pasteles, alcapurrias and arroz con gandules. She found happiness in her garden, taking delight in nurturing beauty all around her.
Ruth dedicated 25 years of loyal service to General Electric before retiring. She was a devoted member of St. Mary's Church in Bridgeport (Torres-Bernelli).
Her legacy of love, resilience and kindness lives on in all who had the privilege of knowing her. Ruth will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
