Samuel Rivera

Samuel Rivera, age 64, currently of Bridgeport has passed away into the Glorious Rest of the Lord on April 16, 2020, in Bridgeport Hospital. Samuel was born in Salinas, Puerto Rico but had relocated to the Bridgeport area many years ago. He is the son of Samuel Rivera and Miguelina Marrero; Samuel was good man, who loved children and looked forward to creating wonderful times for the children of his family but his grandchildren especially looked forward to investing time with grandpa playing endless times together. He is the beloved husband of Elizabeth Colon Rivera of Bridgeport; He loved his family and focused his energy to always be the provider for them and creating a home which was full of Joy, peace and harmony. His doors were always open to everyone and always gave to anyone in need and made everyone feel welcomed in his home. An Avid mets fan, he always enjoyed watching a great game, win or lose, his team was the best. Together with his family, they also watched some great wrestling and when playing with the kids they practice some moves. Nothing was more important than his family and their well being. As he passed so soon without a doubt the family is devastated to know that one of the most genuine, caring, wonderful and joyful person they knew today would not be coming home and that the space he holds in their hearts will never and can never be replaced by anyone else. Besides his wife Samuel is survived by his chlidren Giovanni Rivera, Luis Rivera, Xavier Rivera Erika Morrera. ten grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends whom will sorely miss him. Final disposition of Samuel was held privately and at the convenience of the family, but in due time if other services will be announced, everyone who called, shared and somehow stood firm with the entire family during their time, will be notified for all to be with them as they soon announce what day will be chosen to have a moment to reflect on the life of a wonderful man who lived amongst us.
