In Loving Memory of
San Meach
San Meach, born May 5, 1947, in Cambodia, passed away from this world peacefully on April 20, 2026, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She came to the United States in 1991, where she built a life centered on devotion—to her family, her craft, and her deeply rooted Buddhist faith. Her faith was not just something she practiced, but something she lived daily, finding peace and purpose in the temple, where she felt most at home. San Meach was a gifted seamstress whose hands created beauty and meaning. From elegant prom dresses to traditional temple attire, her work touched many lives within her community. Her creations were worn with pride and reverence, especially within the Buddhist temple she cherished so deeply. Above all, she loved her family. She carried a quiet strength, a generous heart, and a spirit of compassion that reflected the teachings she held close. She is survived by her children, Sothea Thou, Sotha Thou, Panha Thou, Sela Thou, and Siha Thou, 5 grandchildren and 1 sister, Sokon Sok. In the spirit of Theravada Buddhist teaching, we honor her life with gratitude, recognizing the impermanence of all things and the enduring nature of love, compassion, and the path toward peace. May her journey continue with serenity, and may she find rest in the harmony she so faithfully sought in life.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. A procession will follow for final disposition at Mt. Grove Cemetery Association, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06604 with approximate arrival time of 11:45 AM
May her memory bring comfort, and may her spirit remain a guiding light to all who knew and loved her.
