Sergio Luis Santos Caetano

Sergio Luis Santos Caetano will always be remembered for his passions and the love he shared with those around him. Born on May 30, 1969, in Casais Galegos Alemquer Portugal, Sergio's journey came to a peaceful close on February 17, 2024. 

Sergio's life was a tapestry woven with threads of joy from his favorite pastimes. An avid soccer fan, he found great pleasure in cheering for his beloved teams and basking in the beauty of the game. His skill and patience while hunting and fishing were unparalleled, reflecting his connection to nature and the thrill of the chase. Whether it was a competitive game of cards or simply sharing stories of yesteryears, Sergio's calm demeanor and attentive ear always made him a cherished companion.

One of Sergio's greatest joys was reminiscing about his youth in Portugal. He treasured every moment spent chatting with family members back home, reminiscing about the neighborhood and the people who shaped his early years. Above all else, Sergio found true happiness in spending quality time with his loved ones, creating lasting memories that will forever be treasured.

In this time of mourning, Sergio is held close to the hearts of his surviving family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Among those who will carry his memory forward are his dear wife Claudia Caetano, his mother Natividade Dos Anjos Santos Caetano, his sister Otillia Maria dos Santos Caetano, as well as his sons João Caetano and Fábio (Ana Rodrigues) Caetano.

As we gather to bid farewell to Sergio Luis Santos Caetano at Funeraria Luz De Paz in Bridgeport, CT, let us remember not only the loss we feel but also the profound impact he had on each of our lives. May we find solace in the memories we shared and find comfort in knowing that Sergio's spirit will live on through each life he touched.

Rest in peace, Sergio. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts forevermore.

Friends are invited to attend calling hours to be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024, from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608.  His Final disposition will take place back home in Portugal!

In Lieu of Flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Target Cancer Foundation in Memory of Sergio.
