Tomasita Morales

Tomasita Morales of Seymour, returned to the loving arms of the Lord on August 12, 2024, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in Quebradillas, Puerto Rico to the late Virgilio Roman and the late Alejandrina Melendez Roman.  She was the beloved widow of the late Esteban Morales.  

Tomasita was a beautiful, loving person. She was a great confidant as she actively listened to those who sought her company as she was always willing to share kind words that reached the soul.   She enjoyed long walks as well as dancing to her favorite music. She took great pleasure in spicing up delicious meals for her family. In her spare time she lovingly knitted treasured mementos, She was an elegant woman who took great care in her appearance.  Her greatest time was that spent with her family, especially her multitude of grandchildren.  

Tomasita leaves behind to honor her memory her loving children Yvette Morales, Alicia Rosa and husband (Steven), Richard Morales, Adelaida Mobilio and husband (Vincent), Steven Morales, Elizabeth Montini and husband (Robert), Aquitania Romero and husband (Efrain), 36 precious grandchildren, 87 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren; her dear siblings Josefina, George, Alejandrina and William Roman, and a number of friends and relatives that will miss her dearly.  She was predeceased by her daughters Nydia, Lucy and Janet Morales.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 9:45 am - 12:45 pm at Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 East Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 PM at St. Augustine's Cathedral Church, 359 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.  She will be laid to rest at Mountain Grove Cemetery, 2675 North Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.
