Veronica Louise Davidson

March 31, 1940 — May 21, 2020

Veronica Louise Davidson, age 80, of Bridgeport, CT and formerly of Jamaica passed away on May 21, 2020. She was born in St James, Montego Bay, Jamaica on March 31, 1940. She was born to the late Beatrice Williams Baker and Gladstone Baker. She was predeceased in death by her brother Jimmy Baker and sons Esmond Davidson Jr and Patrick. Veronica was a famous seamstress in her heydays and up until she lost her sight, a few years ago she would sew her own clothes, especially to attend her Annual conventions or during an Overseers visit. Veronica enjoyed studying Jehovah's word and while she could not see, was an ardent listener to bible talks and Kingdom songs. Veronica would always say "Jehovah will take care of it" if she was confronted with a challenge. Veronica was a faithful servant of Jehovah up to the second of her passing. Veronica was especially blessed with the unconditional love and care from her brothers and sisters at the Lake Forrest Congregation. Veronica was always smiling and her heart was not just loving, but enormously strong as she would give her last to you if she knew you needed it. Veronica is survived by seven children, Eric Lywood (Carol), Libby Davidson, Charmaine Wright (Clive), Debbie Wong (David), Janice Anderson, Erica Dussard (Courtney) and Kizzie Jones, 23 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren, Her sisters, Janet Mae Baker, Blossom Baker and Hyacinth Hall. Many beloved neices and nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews who remained close to her heart. Veronica will be held in loving memory by her dear family and friends. Therefore, funeral services will be held In Loving Memory of Veronica Davidson. A Celebration of her life will be a viewing and Talk by Brother Eugene Williams which will be held on Saturday May 30, 2020, 3p -6p at Funeraria Luz de Paz/Rodriguez Funeral Services.426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608. Please be advised INSIDE the Funeral Home only four (4) other persons besides the funeral home Staff is permitted INSIDE the Facility, therefore, we encourage the use of our zoom platform whether home, in your vehicle or anywhere you have access to the internet. Follow the instructions below and it will grant you the ability to view, listen and be part of the services virtually. Finally we would like to remind everyone that during the zoom meeting, it is virtually one room where together everyone is watching what is happening and ALSO YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO HEAR & TALK to everyone online whom is, like yourself, watching the service. Therefore, we kindly request this fact is kept in mind during all times and ask that consideration of others who may join us is practiced during your virtual attendance.. if there is background noise where you are, it may be disturbing and create a very uncomfortable atmosphere and therefore request your microphone be muted during the time your online allowing those along with you, to hear more clearly what is being said. Visitors and friends will be permitted, as per state mandated guidelines of 4 at a time inside the Chapel at any given time to view Veronica, BUT PLEASE BE ADVISED OUTSIDE CROWDS SHOULD BE DISCOURAGED AND REMAINING INSIDE YOUR VEHICLES IS ENCOURAGED! Visitors will always be permitted to remain in their parked cars and listen to the Service and view inside the chapel during the times announced above.
