Victor Manuel Ortiz Gonzalez

Victor Manuel Ortiz Gonzalez, age 59, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2025 in Bridgeport Hospital, Bridgeport, CT. Born on September 17, 1965, in Salinas, Puerto Rico, he was the beloved son of the late Obdulio Ortiz and the late Adelaida Gonzalez.

Victor was a proud and devoted father to Damaris Ortiz-Lewis (Sean), Erika Ortiz-Leon (Jose), Krisyna Feliciano, Victor Ortiz, Jr., and Gaius Ortiz. He was a cherished grandfather to Tiani Lewis, Victor Gonzalez, Elijah Leon, Carynna Leon, Kay'Lanni Leon, Julian Leon, Elianna Leon, Nya'omi Valedon, Steven Perry, Emma Perry, and the late Skylar Perry. He also leaves behind his dear siblings: Zulma Ortiz, Julio Ortiz, Beatriz Ortiz, Betsy Gutierrez- Gonzalez , Thomas Lanese and the late Lilly Ortiz. He leaves  a host of nieces, nephews and family and friends and his entire Lanese construction family .

A hardworking and dedicated employee of Lanese Construction Company over 35 years, Victor was known as a jack-of-all-trades, always ready to take on any task with pride and skill. He was deeply proud of his Puerto Rican heritage, a great father, a spirited jokester, and someone who never hesitated to speak his mind. In his free time, he loved fishing, playing the timbales, and cheering on his beloved New York Yankees. His favorite times were spent with his family, surrounded by those he loved beyond words. 

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Funeraria Luz de Paz, 426 E. Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, CT 06608. Final disposition will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

Victor’s vibrant spirit, laughter, and love will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
