Victoria Jimenez

Victoria Jimenez, 86, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, peacefully entered into rest on August 31, 2025. Born on June 15, 1939, in Salinas, Puerto Rico, and raised in Coamo, Puerto Rico. Victoria’s life was a beautiful testament to love, faith, and family.

For more than 35 years, Victoria was a cherished member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Her devotion to God was evident in all she did, reflected in the way she lived her life. She faithfully served in many church ministries as a Children’s Ministry teacher, Deaconess, and member of the Dorcas Society. Through Dorcas, her compassion extended to the homeless and many others in need. She also gave tirelessly to fundraising efforts and supported countless ministries with love and dedication. Her unwavering faith was the foundation of her life and a shining example to her family, her church, and her community. 

Victoria was a devoted mother, raising her children with patience, guidance, and unconditional love. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the quiet strength of her nurturing spirit. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of her heart and love. 

Victoria was preceded in death by her father, Santo Sanchez, and her beloved grandson, Jahese Carter. She is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Hiram Sanchez, Carmen Tirado, Ely Santiago, and by all whose lives she touched. Victoria is survived by her six children: Sara Jimenez; Hector Jimenez and wife Alice Jimenez; Vilma Jimenez; Victoria Medina and husband Jaimie Medina; Emily Rosario and husband Enrique Rosario; and Pete Pagan and wife Iris Pagan. Her family, a reflection of her love, will forever treasure her memory.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff of Mozaic Jewish Nursing Home in Bridgeport, CT, whose compassion, love, and attentive care brought comfort to Victoria in her final days. Your kindness will never be forgotten. 

All are invited to attend a celebration of Victoria's life on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at First Seventh Day Adventist Church, 980 Sylvan Avenue, Bridgeport, CT. 06606 Interment will follow immediately after at Lakeview Cemetery, 885 Boston Avenue, Bridgeport, CT.

Victoria’s life was a living testament to faith, love, and resilience. She touched countless hearts, and her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
